I'm Shakila Booker, Owner & Managing Director of SML Assisting and known to my clients as Your Business Nanny®. SML stands for Shakila Manages Life, because that's exactly what I help business owners get back: their life, their time, and their sanity.

Here's what's new: SML Assisting has evolved. We started as a virtual assistant company, but the work our clients actually needed was bigger than task support, it was structure. So in 2026, we've repositioned as an operations firm, with three priority services: strategic planning, operations management, and database management. Administrative support is still here, but it now sits underneath a stronger foundation.

What does this mean you ask? We analyze, improve, and stabilize the daily internal systems, workflows, and structure that your business uses to execute its work. While our strategic planning focuses on what your company should do, the operations management focuses on how your company actually delivers and executes its services.
